COLUMBIA LABORATORIES ADDED TO NASDAQ BIOTECHNOLOGY INDEX
LIVINGSTON, NJ— May 15, 2006—Columbia Laboratories, Inc. (NASDAQ: CBRX) has been added to the NASDAQ Biotechnology Index® (NASDAQ: NBI) effective at the market open on Monday, May 22, 2006.
Launched in 1993, the NASDAQ Biotechnology Index includes securities of NASDAQ listed companies classified as either biotechnology or pharmaceutical according to the Industry Classification Benchmark (ICB), and which also meet other criteria. The NASDAQ Biotechnology Index is ranked on a semi-annual basis in May and November. All securities in the NASDAQ Biotechnology Index are listed on the NASDAQ National Market and meet specific criteria, including market value, average daily share volume and seasoning as a public company.
