Columbia Laboratories, Inc. develops and commercializes pharmaceutical products that use our proprietary drug delivery technologies. We currently promote four prescription pharmaceuticals in the U.S.  We are focused predominantly on building market share of and revenues from  and      (progesterone gels), two brands of our bioadhesive natural progesterone vaginal gel used as part of an Assisted Reproductive Technology treatment for infertility and pregnancy support.  We also promote  (testosterone buccal system) for the treatment of hypogonadism in men.

We have forged partnerships to commercialize CRINONE, STRIANT and three additional products that use our Bioadhesive Delivery System (BDS) drug delivery technology in foreign markets and in U.S. markets that fall outside our strategic focus. These agreements provide us with a solid base business and enable us to remain focused on growth in our core U.S. markets.

As we work to build revenues from our current products, we are also developing new women’s healthcare products that use our BDS drug delivery technology. Our current R&D programs include PROCHIEVE 8% (progesterone gel) to reduce the risk of preterm birth in women with a short cervix at mid pregnancy and a Phase II vaginally administered lidocaine candidate for the prevention and relief of dysmenorrhea, a condition that affects over 50% of all menstruating women.
